I bought one of these from my local hardware store for my cats about 1 year ago. They LOVED it. They loved the swinging ball and the upward scratching motion. We had several flat cardboard scratchers but one of our cats still scratched the couches. Once we purchased this post, all furniture scratching stopped. My cats scratched this post until the rope was shredded, so I’m now looking for a new one to buy. Don’t get me wrong, the quality is good, my cats just scratched it that much!!
